The team at JDS Childcare Sales acts first and foremost as a broker for the seller, acting as your representative during the process. With extensive experience in all aspects we’re confident in providing the best and most appropriate support and service to our clients.
Absolutely! Our team are here to help you decide whether selling is the right option for you, and that means having an accurate estimate of how much your childcare business is worth. If you do decide that you’re interested in selling your business, we’ll work with you to optimise the outcome.
Whilst we will aim to have tabled offers back to you within a short time frame, this is dependent on you delivering all requested information in a timely fashion. To find out more about the information you will be required to produce, please email or call our friendly staff via info@jdschildcaresales.com.au or 1300 JDS CCS | 1300 537 227.
To give you the most accurate appraisal possible our team will look at things such as the businesses average revenue, occupancy, rental expenses and wage costs. In addition factors such as location, quality of care, and the standard of the centre will also play a part in determining value.
The process of selling a childcare business can take as little as 90 days. For things to progress smoothly within this time-frame, all required paperwork and information would need to be received and the price negotiated in a swift manner. While we aim to have things finalised within the 3-month period there are a number of factors outside of our control that may influence the settlement date. This could include things such as local and national authorities and input from property-owners (where applicable).
In general the buyer will acquire the business as it stands – including the staff. You may however be requested to adjust pricing according to the accrued annual, sick and long service leave of your employees at settlement.
JDS Childcare Sales are committed to keeping your information completely confidential. As part of our service we use a non-disclosure agreement to ensure your information is only used where absolutely necessary. Our non-disclosure company confidentiality agreement can be located in the selling tab after the approved childcare provider number has been selected.
Persons or entities wishing to purchase or operate a childcare facility are required to apply for a provider approval number, which is granted under the relevant state government. This approval credits the person or entity as an Approved Provider, authorising them to operate an approved childcare service.
In addition to obtaining the relevant approvals, those looking to operate an education and care service, are advised to seek additional information and support through membership with relevant organisations. In doing so, members gain access to a range of services and advice, as well as a voice on legislative and industrial issues to help you better serve the children and families at your centre. Preparing to sell a childcare facility can be a complex procedure. Sellers need to consider things such as the price you’d like to achieve and the terms of sale you will be willing to offer. You’ll also need to consider who you will on board to assist with organising the legal components of the sale.
